POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

The Donor Relations Manager is responsible for the planning, execution and management of Bridging’s financial development activities including major gifts, annual appeals, grant solicitation, planned giving, special events and community engagement. This position works closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to determine and achieve development plan and goals. This position reports to the Executive Director and serves as a member of the Bridging Management Team. Direct reports include Database Administrator and Development/Special Events Coordinator.

 

Qualifications

  • Passion for the mission of Bridging’s important work
  • 5+ years’ experience leading and implementing successful fundraising and community engagement initiatives
  • Experience strategically managing a portfolio of prospects; qualifying, cultivating, tracking activities and managing the development processes
  • Proven grant writing skills and results
  • Outstanding technical and supervision skills to mentor and support direct reports
  • Ability to leverage fundraising data and support systems for analysis, donor segmentation and research
  • Donor database proficiency; Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with established competency in writing, public speaking and interpersonal communication
  • Tremendous skills in identifying, developing and maintaining positive relationships with a diverse group of constituents
  • An activator with the proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a results-driven, up-tempo environment
  • Strong knowledge of the Twin Cities philanthropic environment, a connector and an asker
  • Seasoned project manager who works collaboratively across the entire org.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
  • Bachelor’s degree required
